How might new educator roles help people around the world realise desired approaches to learning? This interactive workshop will engage you in exploring how various educator roles could help ensure inclusive and equitable education and equip students to shape a better future.

This will be an invite-only, two-hour roundtable with 25-30 people. A participatory introduction will first get the participants to engage with the key concepts (personalizing localization), then build into a moderated panel, and lastly an active ‘questions and contribution’ session.

While the spirit of inclusion for students with learning differences and disabilities is embedded in frameworks like the SDGs, realizing this vision demands a collective shift in how education systems are designed and supported. This roundtable brings together stakeholders with expertise in areas vital to inclusive education like UDL, FLN and teacher training and leadership development.

Millions of children remain excluded from quality learning—those displaced, living in poverty, navigating conflict, or facing systemic discrimination. This session reframes these margins not as peripheral, but as the starting point for bold education system transformation. Drawing on proven, locally-driven models, we’ll explore how inclusive approaches grounded in children’s lived realities are not only effective but essential for reaching SDG4. The conversation will spotlight how innovations rooted in community leadership, flexible delivery, and contextual adaptation can transition from pilots to policies—embedding equity into national education systems. This is a call to collective action: to move from proof to practice, from dialogue to delivery, and to scale solutions that prioritize those who have been left furthest behind.

This session will explore how CSOs and other implementing organisations can adopt more impactful, cost-effective models to create new paradigms for improving impact in education.

An ideas exchange on harnessing AI to support teachers and learners in low‑resource, offline contexts, equipping them with future‑ready skills.

Guided by the cooperative principles of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity, this event will explore alternative funding models to promote sustainable financing for foundational learning on the continent.
