About Education House

What is Education House?

Education House is a collaborative hub bringing together diverse education actors to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It exists to position education — and the multitude of voices within it—as a key driver of sustainable development, particularly in spaces where education has not been a priority despite its fundamental role in shaping a better future.

Founded by HundrED, Salzburg Global and Teach For All, Education House will be piloted during the United Nations General Assembly week in September 2025 in New York City.

How did Education House begin?

The idea emerged from conversations among education organizations about the need for spaces where diverse participants could explore pressing education issues—especially alongside global forums where education is often absent from the agenda. In June 2025, HundrED, Salzburg Global and Teach For All came together to pilot Education House @ UNGA 80 on September 23 at the Teach For All premises in New York City.

Shared Learning Question 2025–2026 

At the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future’s Global Forum, held in Singapore in April 2025, a diverse coalition of global actors came together to reflect on the purpose of education. Out of this gathering emerged a shared learning question for 2025–2026, endorsed collectively by what has since become the Reshaping Education Steering Group “What will it take to equip students to shape a better future?”

It responds to three urgent areas of change:

 - Accelerating a shift toward holistic student development that includes agency, well-being, empathy, and leadership.

 - Centering student voices as co-leaders in shaping education, not just recipients of it.

 - Strengthening cross-border learning to share promising practices and bridge fragmented efforts globally.

Looking Ahead

The Steering Group and its partners will continue to convene dialogues, surface insights, and amplify learning across geographies. The aim is to spark global learnings and insights around redefining the purpose of education—rooted in the belief that shaping a better future begins by reshaping how we nurture young people today.

Education House will be one of the key convening spaces where this agenda comes to life — hosting dialogues, showcasing innovations, and amplifying insights to ensure that the global learning continues even in forums where education is absent from the agenda.
