The session invites funders & doers to consider how to activate one of the most accessible and powerful education resources: parents.
Event Description
Children living in rural communities in lower-income settings spend a significant amount of time at home, yet parents and communities can still be overlooked as playing an essential role in supporting their child’s education. There remains a strong reliance on schools as the primary site of learning, with limited focus on strategies that promote parents and communities as partners in the educational journey - from the early years through to primary and secondary school.
This interactive session, facilitated by the Global Schools Forum, brings together Lively Minds, Building Tomorrow, and PEAS to share their approaches to working with parents and communities to strengthen support for children’s learning at home.
Due to capacity challenges, please could only one person from each organisation register to attend. Many thanks!
Registration will close on September 17.
