Education House will convene its first gathering of 2026 at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, bringing global leaders together on Tuesday, January 20, from 11:30–3:00 PM at Hotel Schatzalp in Davos, Switzerland.
Taking place at a moment of profound global transition, the Davos Edition of Education House will be held under the theme: “Education at a Turning Point: Preparing Young People for an Era of AI, Growing Complexity & New Opportunity.”
As geopolitical instability, rapid technological change, and deepening polarization reshape societies and economies, education systems are under increasing pressure to adapt. This convening will explore how education must evolve – not only to prepare young people for jobs, but to develop the deeper human capabilities required to navigate complexity, lead with purpose, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable growth in an AI-enabled world.
“Humanity faces increasingly existential challenges – from emergent AI and growing polarization to violent conflict and environmental degradation,” says Wendy Kopp, Co-Founder and CEO of Teach For All. “Meeting this moment requires education that develops all students as creative, critically thinking, collaborative leaders of a better future – for themselves and for all of us.”
At Education House @ WEF 2026, participants will engage around three interconnected questions that move from vision, to coalition, to global impact:
The convening will bring together a curated group of 40+ leaders from business, government, education systems, and civil society—especially those shaping economic and political ecosystems that determine whether young people and societies can thrive. The aim is to position education not as a standalone sector, but as a shared, strategic investment in human capability, economic resilience, and global stability.
“At Education House in Davos, we want to catalyze partnerships that translate ambition into action,” says Lasse Leponiemi, Chairman of the HundrED Foundation. “That means rethinking how we educate young people while recognizing education as foundational to achieving our shared sustainable development agenda.”
