This event will address the critical need to strengthen African foundational learning (FL). Guided by the cooperative principles of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity, this event will explore alternative funding models to promote sustainable financing for foundational learning on the continent.
Event Description
The session will highlight actions countries have taken to mitigate the impact of the loss of Official Development Assistance (ODA). It will showcase innovative financing models that African countries are implementing, as well as actions by education partners to maximize the impact of available funding and ensure sustainable support for foundational learning on the continent. More importantly, the event will discuss the actions countries need to take to ensure that the momentum and progress made to improve foundational learning outcomes are maintained.
